Youth Spring League (Mite, Squirt, Peewee, & Bantam)
Dates: March 22 – June 12
Tuesday Practice Times: Mite: 5:30pm-6:30pm Squirt: 6:40pm-7:40pm Middle School (Pee Wee/Bantam) 7:50pm-8:50pm
Game Times: Thursday 6:40pm & Saturday’s 2pm & 5:10pm (See Schedule; Sunday if necessary)
Ages: Mites, Squirts, Pee Wee & Bantam (Birth years 2003 – 1996)

This season the Delaware State Fair Centre Ice Rink will be offering 2 separate divisions of Spring League. The Squirt Division games will be for birth years 2002-2001 and 2000. Middle School Games will be Pee Wee & Bantam ages. The practices will be held by pure birth years so all 2002-2003-2004 go to the Mite practices, Squirts 2001-2000, and Middle School of 1999, 1998, 1997 & 1996. Our Spring League program focuses on player development, the winter is about making your team better, the Spring is about making YOU better. We take time in the spring to focus on player’s individual abilities and talents. The focus of every practice is skating, stick handling, passing, agility, and of course fun. Practices will be run by Charlie Pens of American Hockey Schools on Tuesday nights beginning March 16th, we will register players and grade them for our internal draft and team placement. The games will begin on March 18th. Schedule of events will be handed out when available. Game coaches will be needed, please contact Jeff to coach or with any questions. Mite Cross Ice Spring Program
Dates: March 22 – June 12 (See schedule for events, there are some Tuesdays off)
Time: Tuesday Nights: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Younger mites are welcome to participate in our cross ice program for the Spring on Tuesday’s. Due to the future USA Hockey A.D.M. Program 2004-2005-2003 (except current travel ’03) are required to begin practicing and playing in a cross ice fashion. Thursday Night Power Skating (with Charlie Pens, Wesley College Ice Hockey Head Coach)
Dates: March 18, 25; April 1, *, 15, 22, 29; May 6, 13, 20, 27; June 3, 10
Time: 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Price: $230 for 12 sessions or $25 for daily walk-on fee
Description: Power Skating is ideal for all hockey players to focus on developing their stride, balance, and skating ability. This program is centered on improving a player's skating skills, explosion, stride, edge control, and pure development. This is a must for all players looking to improve their game and gear up for the upcoming evaluations. Clinic is run by Charlie Pens from American Hockey Schools. Description: This clinic is great for Squirts, Pee Wee’s and Bantams. The clinic teaches proper body positioning, body checking, stick checking, and more. The clinic also exemplifies safety for themselves and other players. Clinic is run by Charlie Pens and Jeff Grable. Open to all Squirts, Pee Wee’s, Bantams, and Midgets. 2010 Summer Camp: Druzhba ’78 Unique Hockey School
Dates: August 30th – September 3rd, 2010

Description: Come train with a world renowned power skating and professional skills instructor, Ivan Pravilov. Ivan has worked for the Washington Capitals and Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL, and has developed NHL stars like Dainus Zubrus. Ivan will be bringing a group of Ukrainian born youth players along with him. Don’t miss out on this experience of a life time to train, interact, and house these players from a different culture.
