HARRINGTON HOSTS HOCKEY SHOWDOWN

The Centre Ice Rink at Delaware State Fair in Harrington, in partnership with the Talbot County Ice Arena in Easton, Maryland, will host the first-ever Mid-Atlantic Adult Hockey Classic Tournament March 24 through March 26.

The Centre’s manager, James Breidenstine, stated, “USA Hockey certified teams from across Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey will be competing for awards and, of course, bragging rights.” According to Breidenstine, this event will be the first of many regional tournaments to be held at The Centre. He also noted that by collaborating with Talbot County Parks and Recreation the two-division tournament will be able to utilize two sheets of ice allowing for additional teams to participate just 45 minutes from one another. Both The Centre Ice Rink and Talbot County Ice Arena look for the event to grow into something much larger, expanding into Pennsylvania and Virginia.

The event is free to the public and game times during the tournament are as follows:
March 24: 8:00 p.m., 9:15 p.m., and 10:30 p.m.
March 25: 2:30 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:45 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.
March 26: 11:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 5:45 p.m.
