Skaters from The Centre Ice Rink at Delaware State Fair attended the 14th annual “Skate Annapolis” Ice Skating Institute (ISI) competition, held March 5 and 6 at the U.S. Naval Academy's Dahlgren Hall.

Deanna Vokes, program director for The Centre Ice Rink noted she was glad her students were able to attend the competition as it was a historic occasion. “This was the last year the competition would be held at Dahlgren Hall as a new rink is being constructed just off the Academy’s grounds,” said Vokes. “The new rink will host Skate Annapolis in the future.”

Vokes, along with Thomas Harrison, Jen Hayward, Rebecca Reitz, and Rob Russo coached 20 skaters, ages five and up, who are members of either the Bay Country Figure Skating Club, The Centre’s Learn to Skate Program, or the Delaware State Fair Ice Skating School.
