ICE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The first ever Mid-Atlantic Adult Hockey Classic came to a close on Sunday in Harrington. The tournament was hosted by The Centre Ice Rink at Delaware State Fair in partnership with the Talbot County Ice Arena in Easton, Maryland and is the first of many regional tournaments to be held at The Centre.

In the B-Divisional Championship, the Centre Ice Blue Team from Harrington, DE squared off against Bottom Line from Frederick, MD. The teams skated to a (1–1) tie at the end of regulation with goals scored by Steve Cannon (Centre Ice) and McGinnes (Bottom Line). In sudden death overtime, with 45 seconds remaining, Hoffman (Bottom Line) scored a power play goal which lifted Bottom Line to a (2-1) win over the Centre Ice Blue team.

In the A-Divisional bracket, the Nauti Dogs from Harrington, DE were pitted against Time Out from Easton, MD. The Nauti Dogs scored three quick goals to start the game--two from Irish and one from Desaclniers--and never looked back. Froman scored in the second period, while Desaclnieers scored his second in the third follwed by a goal by Fuller. The Nauti Dogs skated to a (6-0) win, while Sean Cannon made 20 saves for the shutout.###
