DESPITE FIRST PERIOD LEAD, BUSHMEN ALLOWED DOGFISH HEAD TO COME FROM BEHIND AND TIE

On Tuesday night, the “Bushmen” faced off against “Dogfish Head” in the seventh game of the Silver League Division. At the top of the first period, Bushmen’s Kenneth Meyer (assists: Christopher Fahey, Charlie Frasso) took advantage of an open opportunity to score. Later in the period, Greg Moffit (assists: Meyer, Louis Patriquin) also got one in for Bushmen. Both teams reorganized and reenergized for the second period and put up a strong defense. It wasn’t until the seconds were counting down for the end of the period that Mike Irish (assists: Jeremy Sheppard, Pat Regan) scored for Dogfish Head. With the score 2-1 in favor of the Bushmen at the top of the third period, Dogfish Head’s Matthew Fuller, unassisted, succeeded—just barely—in getting the puck into the net. With a tie score and over ten minutes remaining, both teams worked fiercely to grab the win. Both teams, however, kept their defenses strong, and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
