FIRST PERIOD OFFENSE AND THIRD PERIOD DEFENCE OFFERS WOCM 98.1 THE WIN OVER BUSHMAN

HARRINGTON, DE - November 10, 2006

On Thursday night, in The Centre Ice Rink’s twelfth Silver League ice hockey game, tension began from the onset as “WOCM” 98.1 stole the puck right out from under the “Bushman”; however, Bushman’s Greg Moffitt (assists: Charles Frasso, Randy Fardelmann) was the first to score. WOCM immediately fought back with a goal from James Lattanzi (assists: Jamie Garrison, Charles Desaulniers). Moments later, teammate Angus Patterson (assist: C. Desaulniers) managed to get the puck past the Bushman’s goalie, and the Bushman answered with a goal from Louis Patriquin (assist: Greg Moffitt). WOCM’s Patterson switched into high gear and attacked, scoring two in a row and managing a hat trick with the assistance of the Desaulniers—Jeff and Charles. With 11 seconds remaining in the first period, Patterson (assist: Garrison) made a clean, clear shot into the net.

At the start of the second period, with the Bushman trailing by three points, Kenneth Meyer (assist: Christopher Fahey) grabbed a goal for the Bushman on a 5-on-5 play. For the remainder of the period, both teams held back all attempts while WOCM held onto the two point lead as the clock counted down. In fact, the Bushman’s goalie dominated the first and second periods with a total of 36 saves.

At the top of the third, WOCM’s Charles Desaulniers (assist: Lattanzi) shot one into the net—the only goal achieved in the final period. Meanwhile, WOCM’s goalie made 35 saves allowing WOCM the win with a final score of 6-3.
