The 25th game of the Centre Ice Rink's Silver League placed Dogfish Head against The Bushmen.

HARRINGTON, DE - January 10, 2007

After playing two games on Sunday night, Goalie Cannon returned well rested with a new stick to play for his own team tonight. Dogfish started off strong winning the first face off. Minutes later both Hasan Wilson and Charles Frasso of the Bushmen team made great break-aways and attempts, but Dogfish held firm and Joe York (assist: Pat Regan) scored between the goalie’s legs. Dogfish made a few steals and shortly there after Tony Ruggiero (assist: York) scored to bring their lead 2-0. In the 2nd period, Dogfish came out swimming on high speed; however Bushmen cleverly made their first goal by Tim Doyle (assists: Kenneth Meyer and Wilson). Dogfish were pushing full force yet the Bushmen kept a strong defense as their goalie William Gallion made many saves. Then, Bushmen Frasso (assist: Meyer) came to the rescue to tie the teams 2-2. Dogfish Pat Regan (assist: Ryan Lewis) struck unexpectedly, followed by Ruggiero (assists: Mike Irish and York) to regain control in a 4-2 lead. The 3rd period began with both teams fighting to win; Bushmen knowing there was still enough time to come from behind to win and Dogfish well aware of their plan. In the midst of the plentiful back and forth action, a player from each side collided mid-air. Both were alright and continued to play. Dogfish Sam Calagione (assist: Irish) scored; Gallion attempted to make a save, but jumped too early. Dogfish Head took the win tonight with a final score of 5-2.
