NAPA Predators vs. Buffalo Wild Wings Outlaws
Outlaws were the first to score with a goal by Mark Hoffman unassisted to set the trend for the rest of the game. The first period consisted of a non-stop battle with neither side giving way. The period ended with one penalty and the Outlaws’ goalie making a nice save. In the second period, the Outlaws were unstoppable. Doug Burns (assist: Keith Younus) scored less than one minute into the game. Rich Ortega (assists: Andrew Dahlke and Joe Wobeter) followed by Keith Younus (assists: Mark Hoffman and Martin Scullin) shang-highed the NAPA goalie, taking their lead to 4-0. Outlaws scored moments later by Ray McCloskey, unassisted; giving the Outlaws a 5-0 score by halfway through. NAPA called a time-out for some words of encouragement and to regroup. NAPA came out fierce with Lance Green (assist: Jeffrey Strutzel) scoring on a power play. There was a party in the NAPA net as all the players piled up. The period ended with Outlaws’ Hoffman (assist: Peter Lysek) scoring. The third period started with a 6-1 score and lots of attempts. Just like the first period, lots of back and forth action until Lysek (assist: Hoffman) of the Outlaws scored. A running clock started and the game quickly ended. The final score was 7-1 Outlaws
