THE BUSHMEN TAKE THE ICE BY STORM WITH AN IMPRESSIVE 8-1 WIN OVER C.F. SCHWARTZ

HARRINGTON, DE - October 7, 2005

The Centre's second Silver League game this week pitted C.F. Schwartz against the Bushmen. The Bushmen had an explosive offense which was ignited by a goal half-way through the first period. Early in the second, the Bushmen added a second. Albeit C.F. Schwartz answered to cut the lead in half, it would be as close as they would get to a win during the entire game. The Bushmen's one goal lead grew to three, as the Bushmen added two goals late in the second period. The Bushmen saved their best for last, netting four goals in the third period to put the game out of reach and ending in a final score of 8-1.

The Bushmen will play again on Thursday, October 13 at 9:00 p.m. against the other currently undefeated Silver League team ... the Titans.

The Centre Ice Rink at the Delaware State Fair in Harrington offers an adult (18+) hockey league; men and women are encouraged to join. The League is USA Hockey certified and Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA) affiliated. Per USA Hockey standards, placement is based on interest, experience and ability. The Silver Division is designed for those players who have played organized hockey. The depth of talent is usually consistent throughout the roster and characterized by talented, heads-up play.
