TITANS TAKE CONTROL IN THIRD PERIOD OVER C.F. SCHWARTZ WITH A (8-3) WIN

Goaltenders Greg Gries (C.F. Schwartz) and Joe Alvarado (Titans) allowed a combined single goal in the first, when the Titans’ James Becker (unassisted) put one past Gries, giving the Titans a 1-0 lead.

In the second, the Titans extended their lead to two when Kyle Reynolds (assist: James Becker) scored early. C.F. Schwartz cut the lead in half by the end of the period when Angus Patterson (assist: #12) put the puck in the back of the net.

Throughout the first two periods, neither team seemed to have full advantage. However, in the third period the low scoring affair erupted as the Titans outscored C.F. Schwartz six goals to two. Titan goals came from: Todd Kelleher (2), Dave Wilson (2), Kyle Reynolds, and James Becker while Angus Patterson and #4 would score for C.F. Schwartz. The Titans would get the only power play goal for either team while on a 5-on-3 man advantage. The final score was 8-3 in favor of the Titans.

The Centre Ice Rink at the Delaware State Fair in Harrington offers an adult (18+) hockey league; men and women are encouraged to join. The League is USA Hockey certified and Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA) affiliated. Per USA Hockey standards, placement is based on interest, experience and ability. The Silver Division is designed for those players who have played organized hockey. The depth of talent is usually consistent throughout the roster and characterized by talented, heads-up play.
