Finish Line Collision over NAPA’s Predators (3-2)
Wilson Contracting’s Stars beat JL Eagles (4-1)
Stover Homes’ Outlaws defeated Mad Dogs (7-2)

In the first game of the night, NAPA’s “Predators” went up against “Finish Line” Collision. After the one-sided games of the previous week, these two teams fought a close game with the Predators opening up with a 1-0 lead when Macky Trabaudo (assist: Robert Bassett, Jr.) scored just four minutes into the game. The teams exchanged goals in the second: Robert Bassett (assist: Macky Trabaudo) for the Predators and Justin Skinner (assist: #16 and Michael Petit De Mange) for Finish Line. Facing a 2-1 deficit going into the third period, Finish Line would rally to score to goals creating one of the more exciting finishes in the bronze league this year. Chris Mukoda (unassisted) scored an equalizer with just four minutes remaining in the game, and Corey Bourque (assist: Ron Corder) would net with 18 seconds remaining in the game to give Finish Line Collision the win over NAPA’s Predators.

In the second game of the evening, Jonathan Landing’s “JL Eagles” offered stiff competition to Wilson Contracting’s “Stars”, and it appeared as if JL Eagles might hand the Stars their first loss of the season. However, JL Eagles ran into the same problem as every other Stars opponent…a potent offense coupled with excellent goaltending. In the first period, the Stars scored twice: Felix Karpavage (assist: Robert Betts) and Dave Wilson (assists: Fred Messa, Richard Borrellli). At the opening of the second period, the Stars’ David Lamourine (assists: Dave Wilson, #12) scored, and the Stars’ goalie, Joe Alvarado, who was sporting bright new pads, only allowed one goal: Michael Bassaro (assist: Ray Reddington). The Stars returned their final goal of the game in the second from Dave Wilson (unassisted). Although the third period didn’t see any goals, it did witness a constant back and forth from both teams. In the end, it was a 4-1 victory for the Stars; the team maintains a perfect 6-0 season—the only undefeated team in the Bronze League.

In the final game of the night, the severely undermanned “Mad Dogs” were forced to use substitute players from teams who had played earlier that night as they battled it out with Stover Homes’ “Outlaws”. The Mad Dogs jumped out in front with an early lead as their captain, Andrew Whitman, offered an unassisted goal. However, his team soon watched in dismay as the Outlaws scored consecutive goals to give them their first win of the season. Whitman offered his team another goal in the second period (assist: Alan Kovitz); however, his multi-goal game was outshined by a hat trick from the Outlaws’ Petr Lyseil with assists from #13, Andrew Dahlke, #9, and Mark Hoffman. #13 also offered multiple goals with assists from #3 and Andrew Dahlke. Additionally, Keith Younus scored twice—his first with assists from #13 and David Moyer and his second came as the only goal achieved in the third, was unassisted, and it was the final goal of the game which ended in favor of the Outlaws (7-2).
