TITANS VS BUSHMAN
The undefeated Bushman jumped to a (1-0) first period lead when #5 (assist: #11, #4) scored with 2:26 remaining in the period. Overcoming a deficit to an undefeated team is a tall task, but the Titans were apparently up to the challenge as the Bushman’s first period goal would be the only puck to find its way behind Titan’s goaltender Joe Alvarado. The Titans went on to score three during the second period: Eric Froman (unassisted) and Kyle Reynolds scored twice on feeds from #6. Reynolds (assist: Granny Grant) would add one more early in the third to complete his hat trick, and the Titans handed the Bushman their first loss of the season with a final score of (4-1).
C.F. SCHWARTZ VS DOGFISH HEAD
A Dogfish Head rally late in the game made for an interesting finish; however, in the end, the team fell two goals short of the severely undermanned C.F. Schwartz. From the first face-off, both offenses progressively grew stronger with each passing period. In the first, with just eight seconds remaining, C.F. Schwartz’s Angus Patterson scored (assist: Thomas Weekes) the first goal. In the second period, after C.F. Schwartz scored two: Jamie Garrison (assist: James Lattanzi, Chris Sloan) and James Lattanzi (assist: Sean Staffieri), Dogfish Head made a late period goal as Pat Regan (assist: Chase Christian, Darren Curtis) slipped one past C.F. Schwartz’s goalie Greg Gries. Rumored to be the next Wayne Gretzky of adult hockey, C.F. Schwartz’s Jamie Garrison tickled the twine twice early in the third period to secure his hat trick for the night. With a little over eight minutes remaining in the game, Thomas Weekes (unassisted) gave C.F. Schwartz a (6-1) lead. With the game seemingly over, fans and C.F. Schwartz were surprised as Dogfish Head mounted a comeback scoring three consecutive goals: Tony Ruggiero (assist: Darren Curtis, Chase Christian), Pat Regan (assist: Steve Cannon), and Ronald Oronzio (assist: Darren Curtis, Tony Ruggiero). Despite Dogfish Head’s valiant comeback, the clock ran out and they fell two goals shy with the final score ending (6-4) in favor of C.F. Schwartz.###
