MAD DOGS VS WILSON CONTRACTING'S STARS
From the first face-off, the “Mad Dogs” were determined to hold their own against one of the top-rated teams, Wilson Contracting’s “Stars”. Within the first few minutes, Mad Dogs’ Garrett Atz (unassisted) scored the only goal for the period. The Mad Dogs’ Andrew Whitman (assist: Garrett Atz) was the first to score in the second period, however, the Stars would not sit idly by and struck back with three consecutives goals: Dave Wilson (unassisted); Jonathan Pitts (power play with assists: Dave Wilson, Tad Damask); and John Michalik (Power Play, unassisted). Andrew Whitman (assists: David Lonchar, Garrett Atz) would score the equalizer for the Mad Dogs with 1:26 remaining in the second. The third period offered a constant back-and-forth between the two teams as the Mad Dogs’ #15 (assist: Robert Genova) led the action. The Stars’ Charles Moore offered up two goals (assists: John Michalik and Andrew Pitts, Dave Wilson) while the Mad Dogs’ Andrew Whitman scored his hat-trick for the night (assist: #15). The Stars’ Dave Wilson (unassisted) scored what looked like it might be the winning goal with 1:18 left in the game; however, with just 45 seconds remaining, the Mad Dogs’ Andrew Whitman (assist: Kenneth Lutz) managed to score the equalizer for a final (6-6) score.
JONATHAN LANDING'S EAGLES VS FINISH LINE COLLISION
In the first period, “Finish Line” Collision’s James Olson (assist: Chris Boyles) struck first; however, Jonathan Landing’s “JL Eagles” answered with three consecutive goals: Paul Kaercher (assist: James Rau); David Gist (assist: Mike Laws); and Jeremy Walker (assists: Bill Medford, David Gist). There was even play in the second period, as Finish Line’s Cory Perdue (assist: James Olson) offered a goal and JL Eagles’ David Schreffler (assist: David Gist) scored on a power play. In the third, however, Finish Line dominated the period with goals scored by Aaron Trudel (assist: Troy Palmer) and the equalizer from Raymond Reddington (assist: Ron Corder) for a final score of (4-4).
NAPA PREDATORS VS STOVER HOMES’ OUTLAWS
Both teams worked feverishly to keep the puck out of the net in the scoreless first period. However, the NAPA “Predators” struck the first offensive in the second period with a goal from Matt Warrington (assist: Chris Treftz); however, the Stover Homes’ “Outlaws” answered with two of their own: Petr Lyseil (assists: Mark Hoffman, Keith Younus) and Dan Matta (assists: Joe Wobeter, Doug Burns). In the third period, the Outlaws remained on the offensive with two goals by: Dan Matta (assist: Petr Lyseil) and Ray McCloskey (unassisted). Despite a final goal from the Predator’s James Trabaudo, Jr. (assist: Richard Wawrzeniak), the Outlaws were able to maintain their winning position with a final (4-2) score.
