SILVER LEAGUE WAS BACK IN ACTION AT THE CENTRE - C.F. Schwartz's third period action leads to (7-3) win over Titans

HARRINGTON, DE - January 16, 2006

After a holiday hiatus, The Centre Ice Rink’s Silver League resumed play, and during the first two periods, it looked like the break had evened the teams’ playing abilities. The Titans initiated the back-and-forth with two goals in the first period, scored by Eric Froman (assist on the second: James Becker). Froman would go on to score a hat-trick in the second period; however, this would be the last goal the Titans would obtain.

C.F. Schwartz’s Thomas Weekes offered the team’s first-period goal along with #04. In the second period, Chris Sloan offered the assisted equalizer. It was during the third period, however, when the action began and C.F. Schwartz’s strength surfaced. C.F. Schwartz dominated the period with four consecutive goals: two from Angus Patterson (one assist: Jamie Garrison), Jamie Garrison (assist: Patterson), and Weekes. C.F. Schwartz’s final period action resulted in their (7-3) win over the Titans.

The Centre Ice Rink at the Delaware State Fair in Harrington offers an adult (18+) hockey league; men and women are encouraged to join. The League is USA Hockey certified and Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA) affiliated. Per USA Hockey standards, placement is based on interest, experience and ability. The Silver Division is designed for those players who have played organized hockey. The depth of talent is usually consistent throughout the roster and characterized by talented, heads-up play.
