THE CENTRE'S BRONZE LEAGUE SAW PERIOD DOMINATION AND GAME SHUTOUTS ON SUNDAY

HARRINGTON, DE - January 24, 2006
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

-Mad Dogs shutout Stover Homes’ Outlaws (2-0)
-NAPA Predators defeat Finish Line Collision (5-2)
-Jonathan Landing’s Eagles over Wilson Contracting’s Stars (4-3)

Although defenses ran strong for both the “Mad Dogs” and Stover Homes’ “Outlaws” throughout the entire game, the Mad Dogs offered a slightly more aggressive offense which resulted in a win. Neither team scored in the first period as goalies Joseph Subrick (Mad Dogs) and Dave Freeman (Outlaws) stopped all attempts. In the second period, the Mad Dogs’ David Porter managed an assisted goal past Freeman. In the third, it was Mad Dogs’ Garrett Atz who knocked the assisted goal into the Outlaws’ net for the (2-0) shutout.

In the first period, the NAPA “Predators” managed to dominate over “Finish Line” Collision (4-1). First period goals from the Predators were scored by: Matthew Warrington (unassisted); Michael Grosso (assist: James Trabaudo, Jr.); Richard Wawrzeniak (assists: Grosso, Warrington); and another from Grosso (assist: Lee Emmons). Finish Line answered with a single goal from Corey Bourque. During the second period, Finish Line’s Aaron Trudel (assist: Troy Palmer) scored the only goal of the period. However, in the third, the Predators regained control as Grosso scored a hat trick for the night (assist: Trabaudo) giving the Predators the (5-2) win.

Control shifted back and forth throughout the final game of the night, as Wilson Contracting’s “Stars” faced Jonathan Landing’s “JL Eagles”. The Stars dominated the first as Dave Wilson (assist: Charles Moore) struck the single goal for the period. Well in the second period, however, JL Eagles’ David Moyer (unassisted) scored the equalizer and the team offered three more consecutive goals by: David Gist (assist: David Schreffler); Mike Laws (assist: James Didonato); and James Rau (assist: Schreffler). In the third, JL Eagles’ goalie Joseph Worts was challenged by the Stars’ David Lamourine as he scored the only two goals for the period with assists from Fred Messa and Wilson. In the end, it wasn’t enough as they fell one goal short, and the JL Eagles took the (4-3) win.
